работает год, тихий, не греется, скорость устраивает, храню видеозаписи.

После полугода работы начала глючить файловая система (стоит NTFS). ПК то видит диск, то не видит, то открывает папки, то не открывает, то одни открывает, а др нет. Не пойму в чём дело. Антивирусник стоит, диск проверялся не раз.

Покупать можно, но надо разобраться с файл системой

купил год назад. сразу начались всем известные проблемы - зависания, тормоза, выпадания из системы. потеряв 5 дней, отнес в гарантию, через 3 недели вернули и сказали, что теперь все ОК. я не поверил и купил хитачи, а ВД сразу сунул в дальний угол ящика и забыл, как страшный сон. пару дней назад случайно наткнулся и от нечего делать воткнул в системник. пару часов все было замечательно, а потом начались старые проблемы, правда теперь все определяется и ничего не виснет, просто иногда скорсть чтения/записи падает раз в 100. очень оригинально с ним работает торрен - через раз закачка идет как на флешку, а не на хард - т.е. постояяно скачет скорость из-за переполнения кэша. самое паршивое в этом харде (и это прослеживается по 90% отзывовов на разных форумах), что он не умирает с бэдами, клацанием и прочими ужасами, он просто периодически начинает посылать вас куда подальше:) Вывод. Для установки ОС или хранения важной информации категорически не советую. Для малоценной текучки вроде музыки и кино решайте сами.WD5000AADS был первым хардом Вестерн Дитжитал который я купил и абсолютно точно последним:)

Недавно заказал на Амазоне. Пока что очень доволен. Как только подключил, переформатировал в xfs, проблем не было.

Читает почти все видео форматы. Хорошее качество изображения.

Ужасная перемотка. На некоторых форматах вообще не работает. Когда останавливаешь перемотку вперед, то видео часто отскакивает на несколько минут назад - получается что промотал назад, а не вперед. Пульт неудобный. Кнопки Play, Назад, Вперед очень маленькие и их трудно найти на ощупь. Меню также не очень удобное (мелкие шрифты) Включается довольно долго (минуты 2-3).

В общем вполне нормальный плеер. Единственный по-настоящему серьезный минус - функция перемотки.

Простой удобный и всеядный прибор

У меня их 2, первый был куплен несколько лет назад и путешествует из дома от большого телевизора на дачу в тоже большому но сони тринитрон:) Купили второй чтобы и там и тут был свой прибор, а таскать только хард. Для меня в нём появилась очень полезная штука - декодер DTS (обидно скачать фильм, привезти на дачу, а там нет подходящей звуковой дорожки), всё остальное ненужное. Работа с сетью вообще цирк. Кто покупает такой прибор имеет минимум один компьютер, этого достаточно чтобы смотреть ролики. По изображению на старом сони показалось, что оно даже лучше чем на первой версии! Кстати, наш ребёнок называет WD TV - коробочка.
